Introducing The Nurse Practitioner

A Primary Health Care Provider

 

Mission Statement:    To provide comprehensive health care services 

encompassing  physical, psychosocial and spiritual therapies.  To provide 

the highest quality of care for clients across the continuum of life including

adolescents, young adults, mature adults and elderly adults. To reinforce

preventive health and health promotion utilizing conventional and alternative

therapies. To provide spiritual support and promote self esteem.  To enable 

self care and responsibility for one’s general health.     

 

Will spend adequate time with each client  to identify specific health concerns 

and develop mutually agreed upon treatment plan. Will  reinforce preventive 

health and reduction of health care visits by  health promotion.

 

 

            Your Nurse Practitioner - Andrea Kynard, RN, FNP-C

 

NP Kynard is a Registered Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner-Certified (FNP-C).

She is certified by the California Board of Registered Nurses, and nationally by the

American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has over 18 years experience as a

registered nurse, and 15 years experience as a nurse practitioner. She received her

Bachelor of Science degree from Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles, and her

Master’s in Nursing degree from UCLA.

 

As a nurse practitioner, NP Kynard has vast experience as a PRIMARY CARE

PROVIDER, and in internal medicine and general practice. She has also worked in

endocrinology (diabetes and hormonal disorders), pediatric and adolescent health,

occupation & employee health, urgent care, and weight loss programs. Currently

she specializes in weight management, diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, well

male and woman exams, herbal therapies, and preventive health.

 

She started and managed the NP Program at University of Phoenix (UOP) California,

and was an Associate Professor at USC, UCLA and UOP. She was the coordinator of

Healthy People 2000 for African Americans in Greater Los Angeles. NP Kynard is

married and has 2 children.

 

NP Kynard is the founder and president of Allied Health Care, Inc. She chose the

name Allied Health Care because she believes that optimum health can be obtained

by an alliance with the Patient, Practitioner and Spiritual Provider. She utilizes

traditional and alternatives therapies to blend medicine and nursing to treat the
